"Shaving Is Overrated!" features Pat-Live on the introduction and hook, Prof. on the first verse, Z0-L0 on the second verse, and Twinn Zeus on the third verse.

We’re tried something a little new with the hook on “Shaving Is Overrated”. Freestyling hooks is all well and good, but they tend to be very ambiguous (not necessarily a bad thing) and just repeated short statements for the sake of brute-force-catchiness (again, not necessarily a negative). I’ve sort of tried to dodge this hyper-repetition by finding snippets of rapper’s verses and then looping them or running them through weird effects, but that will only be interesting for so long. So, we’ve created a semi-new rule for and we’re testing it on this song (we actually used it on “Wake Up And Smell The Potency, Part One” on the first Yahdig? Release for Joe Blevins’s chorus). We’re giving the guest vocalists/instrumentalists exactly one minute of the beat looped to come up with a hook – that way if they are quick enough they can come up with layers and harmonies, and the hook can be a little more lyrically dense/harmonically intriguing. If you feel that this detracts from the spontaneity of the project or its integrity as an improvisational recorded work, let us know, and we’ll go right back to just saying whatever shit comes to us or snagging freestlyed verse sections and looping them. Random awesome thing about this song – we’ll just say that Tony was not entirely lucid when he recorded this. This was also the first freestyle that he and Kory ever recorded.
