about

Patrick Jones and I wrote this in a single sitting immediately after Hollowed Queen was released. He wanted to be direct and minimal, and for the song to be released on his twenty-fourth birthday. So enjoy. Make sure you use fluorescent light-bulbs and double Windsor knots, as they are more environmental.

lyrics

[gw]: hey bitch, i thought i was going to sing,
hey bitch, i thought was going to rap,
hey bitch, i thought i was going to hide
my true intentions, metaphor intact -

but bitch, i'm broken -

don't give a fuck about the motions -

got a degree, you can suck me hard,
i'm going to preach, dear lord, like
"oh my god:
art -

you're the light in the dark

when the bulb burns out
so i can still see to hang myself."

drape my life from the sky,
under the sea of the ceiling,
no air left in my lungs,

lilting...

[pn]: as the current flows around me
i just watch you float away,
seems quite a while since you came
back to to play...

i'm stuck in your surroundings
while your surges have me drowning...

waters roll by steady
wishing on your way,
this time i hope
that you stay.

i'm stuck in your surroundings
while these storms are arousing...

[gw]: pen to the pad, bic to the fag,
you are nothing but a fuckboy.
flip tricks when you're plastered, spit for the masses,
you are nothing but a fuckboy.
oh, you've got a job, full suit required?
you are nothing but a fuckboy.
tie around my neck, double windsor when i die,
please, i'm just trying to track another one,

i'm just trying to track another one...

i'm just trying to track another one
before i take my last breath,

and in case this is my last laugh

left.
